ELA participants experience the community that surrounds them through community activities that allow them to access community resources, activities, events and facilities by incorporating skills gained through other activities. ELA participants go out into the community to go shopping for daily living supplies, to attend events, and for volunteer service projects.
Community integration activities include, but are not limited to:
Grocery Shopping
Library
Bowling
Lunch outings
Accessing community facilities (Park Districts, community centers, etc.)
Arden Courts (volunteer opportunity)
WINGS (volunteer opportunity)
Holiday Shopping
Movies
Spectator sports
Concerts
Community events
Craft fairs
