ELA participants are able to maintain and improve their communication skills through a number of activities. Each morning begins with daily news and a reality orientation discussion, and each afternoon wraps up with discussion about the day. ELA participants work on communication and socialization skills that increase self-confidence and teach appropriate conversation skills with others. Participants will also learn about maintaining and building relationships, appropriate attire and appearance. Adapted devices are used for those who need/have them to assist in communication.
